Dr. Joesph Tohme, the Director of CIAT Biotechnology Unit in Colombia, together with Senior Scientist Dr. Manabu Ishitani, visited SCCB on August 16-17, 2009. Prof. Yongping Huang, the Deputy Director of SIPPE, introduced the research activities and institutional organization and management of SIPPE in general. After the visiting of SCCB laboratory and greenhouse, Professor Peng Zhang and the visitors updated the progresses of cassava biotechnology from both sides and exchanged opinions on how to intensify bilateral collaborations. The visiting will facilitate our international collaboration with CIAT.
