The 2nd executive committee meeting and mid-term annual progress review of National Technological System of Cassava Industrialization(NTSCI) were held at Guilin, Guangxi from July 24 to 26, 2009. More than 60 cassava researchers, including the scientists of different research laboratories and agents of different research stations, participated in the important event. Accompanied by Dr. Xiaoguang Duan, Prof. Peng Zhang, Scientist of Genetic Engineering in the system, joined the meeting. On the meeting, Prof. Peng Zhang presented the progress in his lab with solid and detailed data, which is well acknowledged by the Principle Investigator and other colleagues. On the meeting, participants also discussed several regulations related the system and visited the demo field of cassava cultivation managed by Guilin Research Station.
