On July 1, Prof. Peng Zhang was invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Guangxi Institute of Cassava (GIC). Vice-President Zhangliang Chen of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region attended the inauguration ceremony and jointly unveiled the name plate of GIC. He addressed that the institute should strengthen cassava fundamental and applied research and capacity development through the domestic and international cooperation. He expected that the new institute will promote the sustainable non-grain bioenergy development in Guangxi through cassava industrialization. Prof. Peng Zhang gave his warmest congratulation and wished a successful bilateral collaboration between GCS and SCCB.
