The 2nd International Conference on Plant Metabolism was held from June 30 to July 3th, 2011 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The theme of the conference is “Plant Metabolism and Modern Agriculture”. Many leading scientists presented their latest research in the areas of plant metabolisms, such as biosynthesis of terpenes, vitamins, phenols, pigments and cell walls, carbon and nitrogen metabolism, metabolomics and metabolic engineering. Members from SCCB, including Prof. Peng Zhang, Dr. Weiwei Zhang, Hongxia Wang, Jun Yang and Weijuan Fan joined the workshop and presented posters with their current Works-In-Progress.
