On the occasion of “the 2nd International Conference on plant metabolism” which was held in Qingdao, Professor Wilhelm Gurissem, the SCCB coordinator from Swiss part, and Prof. Zhang Peng visited our sweet potato breeding station in Taian after the meeting. Accompanied by Prof. Zheng Jianli, the Director of Economic Crop Research Institute, Tai’an Academy of Agricultural Sciences (TAAS), and Senior Agronomist Liu Guiling, they examined the growth situation of sweet potato during the field visit and had intensive exchanges and discussion on the running projects. Afrer the visit, Prof. Wilhelm Gruissem also met TAAS Director Cao Jian and Prof. Zhang Xiansheng, Vice President of Shandong Agricultural University.
