Dr. Manabu Ishitani, Program Scientist from International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Colombia, and Dr. Dr. Hiroki Tokunaga from RIKEN in Japan visited SCCB from April 17 to 18, 2017. They presented two lectures to introduce the cassava research activities in CIAT and International Laboratory for Cassava Molecular Breeding (ILCMB) and epidemic of cassava mosaic disease in Southeast Asia in the afternoon of April 17. They also intensively discussed with Prof. Peng Zhang and Qiuxiang Ma on bilateral collaboration, joint grant application and cassava genetic transformation system in April 18. The visit builds a new bridge between SCCB and ILCMB to promote international collaboration.
