The annual evaluation meeting of Chinese Cassava Agro-industrial Research System (CCARS) was successfully held at Haikou from December 10 to 13, 2018. The Division Chief Lei Shi of the Ministry of Agriculture, Vice Director Jianghui Xie of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and the Principle Scientist Kaimian Li attended and made welcome speeches. Division Chief Lei Shi introduced the reform of annual evaluation and supervision in the future. The Principle Scientist, the Scientists of different research laboratories and Agents of different research stations showed their achievements and successful experience in this year, and introduced the plans in the following years. All the members discussed the work plans and arrangements in 2019 after the meeting. The Executive Committee Panel discussed the contents and organization issues related to the book entitled The Theory and Practice of Modern Agro-industrial Technologies in China-Cassava Part. General Consultant Feijie Lv finally summarized the event and advised for the following arrangements.
