The annual evaluation meeting of the Chinese Cassava Agro-industrial Research System (CCARS) was successfully held at Chengmai from January 10 to 13, 2022. The meeting was held by the way of "online + offline" and a total of 78 attendees working on cassava, moringa, coffee, pepper, and jackfruit from all over the country attended. The Coordinator Guohui Yang of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, leaders of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, and the Principal Scientist Kaimian Li attended and made welcome speeches. The Principal Scientist, the Scientists of different research laboratories, and Agents of different research stations showed their achievements and successful experience this year and introduced the plans in the following years. All the members discussed the work plans and arrangements in 2022. Before the meeting, the Executive Committee Panel also discussed the contents and organization issues related to the goal and content during the“14th Five-Year Plan” of the system. It is encouraging for all members that the meeting could be organized under the Covid wave globally.
