Ms. Sandra Manrique Trujillo from the team of Global Program Genomics and Biotechnology, International Potato Center - CIP, Peru was visited our center from Nov.4 to 10, 2012.Under the support by Mrs Min Zhang at SCCB, her visit was mainly reviewed the details of the sweetpotato genetic transformation protocol by somatic embryogenesis developed for Chinese cultivars comparing with the protocol developed in CIP. In the meeting with Dr. Peng Zhang, she also discussed the possibility of future training for other CIP members. This exchange is the first step of bilateral collaboration between SCCB and CIP on sweetpotato biotechnology.
