On April 24, 2013, Dr. MengBin Ruan, Pingjuan Zhao, etc, from Institute of Tropical Bioscience and Biotechnology, CATAS, joined our center for one-year training. Supervised by assistants Mrs. Qiuxiang Ma, Dr. Ruan will learn the essential techniques of cassava tissue culture and genetic transformation, including somatic embrygenesis, embryogenic suspension culturing and Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation. This training strengthened the bilateral collaboration between SCCB and Institute of Tropical Bioscience and Biotechnology, CATAS.
