Mr. Rawit Longsaward is an undergraduate student from Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Thailand under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Unchera Viboonjun. He got the scholarship from Science Achievement Scholarship of Thailand to supports his training in SCCB from June 1^st to September 30^th, 2017.

Under the supervision of Prof. Peng Zhang and Dr. Maliwan Naconsie, Rawit learned the basic techniques in plant molecular biology. He investigated function of the genes related to cold stress response and starch biosynthesis by study the expression patterns, subcellular localization, transcription factor activity, protein interaction by yeast two hybrid, microtome section,etc.. Mr. Rawit has gained the skills essential for his future research for his attempts to pursue a PhD study. His visit also intensifies the academic exchange between our center and Mahidol University under the Belt and Road Initiative.
