Ms. Ling Ng, undergraduate student from the University of Edinburgh, visited and interned at SCCB from Aug. 14 to Sept. 1. During her stay, she communicated with graduate students and postdocs on various research topics. She studied the techniques of plant tissue culture, Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and histological sectioning of sweet potato and cassava under the supervision of Drs. Hongxia Wang and Weijuan Fan. She also attended several group seminars and lectures. Her visit is a showcase of promoting more internships in the center with other international universities and research units.
