With the financial support of the 2021 Annual Visiting Scholarship of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Assistant Researcher Li Guoliang of the Crop Research Institute visited our center and conducted a six-month training on sweet potato tissue culture and genetic transformation technology, which was completed on November 30, 2021.

During the training period, under the guidance of colleagues Ma Qiuxiang, Zhang Yandi, and Yang Shuai, Guoliang learned the genetic transformation technology of sweet potato, including embryogenic callus induction, suspension cell culturing, and Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The visit provided guidance and technical support for the future development of the genetic transformation system suitable for the main sweet potato varieties in Fujian Province. Through this exchange, a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the center and the Crop Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences was built.
