Senior Agronomist Wei Zusheng specialized in cassava germplasm innovation and starch research. Under Researcher Zhang Peng's guidance, he mastered phosphorylation modification and disease-resistant breeding technologies. Through advanced starch research training, he acquired cutting-edge analytical techniques and improved practical research skills. He actively engaged in domestic and international academic exchanges, optimized breeding protocols, advanced gene editing applications, and coordinated with CATAS on joint breeding initiatives—comprehensively strengthening innovation and technology transfer capabilities.
