The Annual Meeting of Cassava 973 Program and the 4th Workshop on Cassava Biotechnology was held in Haikou, Hainan, on December 19-22, 2010. Prof. Peng Zhang, accompanied by Dr. Xiaoguang Duan, Dr. Zhaorong Wei, Qijie Zheng, Jia Liu, Jia Xu, Wenzhi Zhou, Jiao Liu, attended the meeting. Principle Investigators of the 6 projects in the program presented the progress and discussed work plans for the next year. In parallel, participants presented their study covering different cassava research topics including cassava genomics and proteomics, gene cloning and genetic engineering, stress adaptation and physiological and biochemical analysis. The meeting promotes collaborations and information exchanges among different research groups.
