The China Xuzhou 4th International Sweetpotato Symposium & the 4th China-Japan-Korea Sweetpotato Workshop was held in Xuzhou International Conference Center. The theme of the symposium is “Sweetpotato: Security of Food and Energy.” About 250 domestics and international delegates from 16 countries participated in the important event. Members from SCCB, including Prof. Peng Zhang, Dr. Zhaorong Wei, Min Zhang, Jun Yang, Huiping Bi and Weijuan Fan joined the workshop and Prof. Peng Zhang presented the recent progress on sweetpotato starch engineering in our center. During the meeting, participants also attended the 100th anniversary of Xuzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences (XAAS).
