Prof. Peng Zhang attended the Executive Committee Panel meeting and the Kick-off meeting for 2012 Tasks of the Chinese Cassava Agricultural Research System (CCARS) in Naning, Guangxi, on February 24-26, 2012.

On Feb. 25th, members of the Executive Committee Panel discussed the issues, such as scientist-station docking and financial management, raised by the members in the last 3 years and proposed possible solutions. The duties of each member were also re-arranged in order to guarantee the smooth operation and management in the system under the coordination by the Office of Principle Investigator.

On Feb. 26th, the scientists and agents reported their annual plans and, after intensive discussion according to the principles of the Executive Committee Panel meeting, established new networks in the system. The meeting basically not only improved the construction and management of the system but also strengthened the function of the Executive Committee Panel, which provides a guarantee for better performance in 2012.

More than 20 members, including scientists of different research laboratories and agents of different research stations, were participated in the event.
