On March 22, Prof. Peng Zhang was invited by the State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agro-bioresources (SKLCUSA) at the Guangxi University for an academic exchange. In the morning, Prof. Zhang presented the recent progress on cassava research entitled “Cassava biotechnology--from gene discovery to the application" and answered questions raised by the audience. In the afternoon, Prof. Zhang discussed with the Vice Director Jaxun Feng and Prof. Youzhi Li as well as related researchers on how to strengthen the cassava biotechnology research and personnel training. This visit builds the bridge for strengthening bilateral cooperation between two laboratories. Next step is to create conditions fostering the implementation of cassava research.
