On March 26, Prof. Peng Zhang visited the Key Laboratory of Cassava Germplasm Reservation and Utilization. Prof. Zhang gave a seminar entitled "cassava biotechnology --from gene discovery to applications” and answered questions raised by the audience. After the discussion with Director Kaimian Li and Deputy Director Songbi Chen on cassava research plans, Prof. Zhang visited the National Cassava germplasm Repository and the transgenic cassava field. Prof. Zhang is the Director of Academic Committee of this key laboratory. The academic exchange not only enhances the bilateral cooperation but also ensures the smooth implementation of on-going cassava projects. Prof. Aimin Qiao from Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering also took part in the Exchange.
