On July 22, Prof. Peng Zhang, accompanied by Vice Director Junjie Gao and Senior agronomist Guiling Liu of Tai’an Academy of Agricultural Science (TAAS), visited the Jinyang Seed and Seedling Association (JSSA) of Daiyue District in Tai’an. After the introduction of sweet potato production status in the region by Mr. Peigong Hou, the Director General of JSSA, the team visited the demonstration base for high-yielding sweet potato varieties. Taizhong 6, jointly bred by TAAS and our center, has become a popular variety in the region. It has shown an outstanding performance in the High-yield Demonstration Projects of Shangdong Province, which greatly promotes the local industrialization of sweet potato.
