The 12th Workshop of China Starch Industry Association - Modified Starch Committee was held successfully in Xining, Qinghai on July 27, 2013. Prof. Peng Zhang and graduate student Wenzhi Zhou from SCCB, Prof. Bi Gu from Guangxi University and Dr. Zhenwen Zhang from the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences on behalf of China Cassava Agriculture Research System attended the event. Wenzhi gave an oral presentation entitled “Waxy and high-amylose cassava starch production and their application analysis”，which systemically reported the progress on cassava starch improvement and application. Prof. Bi Gu was also invited to chair the discussion session on process technology and application of modified starch products.
