Invited by Prof. Peng Zhang, Dr. Luiz J. C. B. Carvalho of EMBRAPA visited SCCB from Oct. 22 to 24, 2013. In the morning of Oct. 23, accompanied by Prof. Peng Zhang, Luiz firstly visited the SCCB laboratory and phytotron at SIPPE with great interest. In the afternoon, he also had a tour of the laboratory and cassava field at Chenshan Plant Science Research Center as well as the whole Chenshan Botanical Garden. During the visit, Luiz made intensive discussion and information exchanges with the group members and reached an agreement with SCCB for bilateral collaboration on starch analysis of cassava germplasms from his lab. Dr. Wenjun Ou from CATAS accompanied Luiz on the visit.
