A delegation led by Sun Hongwu, Vice President of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Science (JAAS), visited to our institute on July 27, 2018. Deputy Director Guo Jinhua chaired the reception and introduced the history, talent development, research platform and recent achievements of SIPPE. Both sides had intensive discussions on institutional management, capacity development and potential cooperation. Managers from Personnel Department and Department of Research Management and Supporting attended the event.

After the meeting, Vice President Sun Hongwu visited Shanghai Center for Cassava Biotechnology (SCCB). Dr. Zhang Peng introduced the achievements on sweetpotato research in recent years and proposed the frame for bilateral collaboration with sweetpotato research team of JAAS. Then the delegation also paid a visit of the laboratory, core central facilities and phytotron with great interest.
