The Principal Investigator, Prof. Kaimian Li from Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) in Haikou, visited SCCB on April 21, 2019. Together with the members of SCCB, Prof. Kaimian Li and Prof. Peng Zhang intensively discussed the experience and the problems of CCARS during the developmental process in the last ten years, and projected the future developmental direction. With the advance of science and technology, Prof. Li put forward the higher request and expectation on the following development of CCARS. He hoped that we would keep the mind in mission and work hard for the development of CCARS, and continue to make full use of technology and basic research advantages of SCCB, and enhance the collaboration and communication among research laboratories and stations.

Prof. Kaimian Li also visited the greenhouse and the novel cultivation system without sugar for cassava seedlings. Prof. Kaimian Li was appreciated the technologies for cassava macropagation, and hoped that we could enhance the cooperation with enterprises to promote planting cassava in the North. By the visit, Prof. Li He encouraged us to make more contributions for the future development of CCARS.
