From April 17 to 19, the International Symposium on Green and Efficient Production of Root and Tuber Crops was held in Jinan. Prof. Peng Zhang was invited to attend the conference and delivered a presentation titled “Source-Sink Regulation in Root Crops,” which systematically introduced his team’s latest research progress on source-sink regulation in cassava and sweet potato.
With the theme “Collaboration and Innovation: Advancing Sustainable Development of the Root and Tuber Crop Industry,” the symposium brought together leading global scholars in the field. The event focused on key topics including crop breeding, cultivation, pest and disease management, efficient production, food processing, and green development. Through plenary presentations, panel discussions, and field visits, the symposium fostered knowledge exchange, built consensus, promoted international collaborative innovation, and established a platform for the sustainable and green development of the root and tuber crop industry.
The conference attracted over 200 participants from both domestic and international institutions.
